I’ve started a new project called “From the Window”. Living in the American west we spend a lot of time in our vehicles rather than walking or biking like most large cities or in European countries. With my kids getting older I’m now able to let them drive so I can enjoy the scenery and document what I see.
This image was taken a few days ago while driving through Wyoming for our spring break.
Taken on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City on a warm summer day. My wife has cut my hair since we got married. I’ve never been to a real barber shop before and I love watching them cut hair.
These types of scenes are getting more common and easier to photograph. These two had no idea I was right behind them documenting their experience at Niagara Falls, Canada.
New Orleans is a great place to visit, the food, atmosphere & people are great. I watched these men through a window make cigars for quite a while. It’s definitely something that takes skill to get it right. I’m not a smoker but if I were I probably would have supported these guys and given one a try.
I began my photography journey while working in San Francisco about ten years ago. I enjoy going back to revisit familiar places and find new adventures.
I like how the man in the back is looking over my right shoulder. If he were looking towards the front like the rest of the people this image wouldn’t be interesting to me.
Leica released the new M10 today. Two things I really like about this compared to my M240 is the larger viewfinder and the dedicated ISO wheel on the top. I don’t anticipate I will be switching to this body, my M240 body is 5 months old and will last me for a long time. It’s nice that Leia builds their products so well I don’t have the desire to need the latest release.
Well done Leica on the improvements. (image courtesy of Leica)
Taken on a recent trip to New York. I really like how the yellow and red colors pop in this image.
Film lovers rejoice, Kodak brings back 35mm Ektachrome. To be honest, I’ve never used this film and am excited to give it a go. I’ve had 2 rolls of expired Ektachrome in my freezer (below) for the past year and will be shooting it this year with hopefully a fresh roll as well.
